About the Session
Do you know how to engage news media to get your story into the world? Will you be ready when your business is thrust into a crisis communications situation? In this session, we will discuss ways to develop clear, concise messaging for any situation. We will discuss the keys to telling your company's story in an impactful way. Participants will learn how to prepare for an interview and the pitfalls they need to avoid.

- Understand how and when to pitch a story to media.
- Feel more confident during a media interview.
- Develop a crisis communication strategy for their business.
About the Facilitator
Lauren Casey Bemis is a passionate storyteller with more than a decade of experience in marketing, communications and local media. She recently joined Pence Media Group after 11 years on WRTV's Good Morning Indiana. With her extensive background in local media and social media management, Lauren brings a unique perspective to organizations looking to share their brand's story. She leans on her expertise in listening, understanding complicated topics and crafting messages for targeted audiences.
