Class of 2009
Johnson County has a rich history with numerous treasures and assets that were difficult to find until the Journey Johnson County project group stepped in to fill the gap. This project group created a website to highlight information on events, dining, recreation, shopping, and more. From 2009 until 2017, the Journey Johnson County website served as our county’s unofficial tourism bureau. During 2012, when Indianapolis hosted the Super Bowl, Journey Johnson County served as the Super Bowl Landing Page for visitors interested in lodging, dining and more. Averaging 6,000 unique page views each month, and a Facebook following of close to 800, Journey Johnson County handed off control to Aspire Johnson County, which grew and maintained the website until our official tourism bureau, Festival Country Indiana, beginning in 2017.
