Class of 2016
The Trailblazers team identified the need for a consolidated map for walking, running and biking in Johnson County. The lack of a comprehensive map made it difficult to market trails to the public and to demonstrate the need to connect routes when planning new trails and seeking funding from state and federal resources.
Trailblazers worked with several agencies to draw a comprehensive map of the current trails in each part of the county. A web-based version of the map is available on the Aspire Economic Development + Chamber Alliance website. The Trailblazers project was certified by the state of Indiana as a Bicentennial Legacy Project.
